Contents
Per 100 g Pentosan polysulphate Na 1 g, triamcinolone acetonide 0.01 g, lidocaine HCl 2 g
Indications/Uses
Topical antihaemorrhoidal containing corticosteroids for the local treatment of external & internal haemorrhoids.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1-3 times daily.
Contraindications
Patient suffering from haemorrhoidal bleeding; infection in the affected area.
Special Precautions
Avoid contact w/ eyes or areas close to the eyes. Do not apply to extensive skin surfaces; do not use over prolonged periods; do not apply w/ occlusive or padded dressings since it may increase absorption & give rise to systemic effects eg, high BP, diabetes & Cushing's syndrome. Discontinue if symptoms worsen or persist after 7 days or if irritation & added infection occurs. Elderly or weakened individuals or patients w/ acute phase disease. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn & adolescents.
Adverse Reactions
Occasionally, allergic reactions eg, itching, burning, irritation, dryness or allergic contact dermatitis.
Drug Interactions
Potential interaction w/ antiarrhythmic drugs.
